Hearst Bay Area & San Francisco Chronicle
Industry:
Media, Marketing, and Advertising
Hearst Bay Area is a full-service integrated marketing and advertising organization backed by the long-standing media legacy of Hearst Communications, one of the largest media companies in the United States. The business leverages a network of powerful local brands – including the San Francisco Chronicle, SFGATE, Hearst StoryStudio, and the in-house agency 46Mile – to deliver comprehensive, data-driven marketing and advertising solutions to businesses across Northern California. Hearst Bay Area’s offerings include digital marketing, web and mobile advertising, print and content marketing, strategic consulting, and omnichannel campaign design, all underpinned by proprietary audience insights and first-party media reach to help brands connect with highly engaged Bay Area consumers.
The San Francisco Chronicle, part of this portfolio, is the largest newspaper in Northern California and one of the most influential news outlets on the U.S. West Coast, providing in-depth local reporting across news, culture, sports, and opinion through its print and digital platforms.
Played a key role in strengthening the digital advertising and go-to-market capabilities of Hearst Bay Area, supporting the commercial growth of the San Francisco Chronicle and its broader media portfolio. My work focused on scaling SEO, SEM, and paid media performance across hundreds of advertiser accounts, standardizing analytics and attribution, and translating complex digital strategies into repeatable, revenue-driving solutions for sales and client teams. I partnered closely with account executives to improve customer acquisition outcomes, develop new digital service offerings, and align campaign execution with client business objectives. This approach enhanced performance transparency, increased advertiser confidence, and contributed to sustained digital revenue growth during a period of significant market and industry disruption.
